The New India Consensus: Modi Wave to Modi Way?

This study makes an effort to understand the different consensus that rose in the Indian political history of the last 150 years and contemporary developments from the perspective of understanding Indian consensus. In the process, it also attempts to generate some fresh insights that address the issues of the day. For the purpose of clarity, these consensus phases have been named after their most defining features which can be terms as Civilisational Consensus, Gandhian Consensus, Nehruvian Consensus, Secular Consensus and finally this study purposes a new consensus which is emerging as the New India Consensus.
