Abstract

This study explores the attitudes of pre-primary teachers toward their profession, focusing on differences based on age, teaching experience, and attitude score categories. A sample of 290 pre-primary teachers from 60 private pre-primary schools in Thoubal District, Manipur, was selected using a simple random sampling method. The investigator used a standardized tool for the Teacher attitude scale (TAS) developed by Dr. J. C. Goyal in the survey.  ANOVA was employed to examine these differences, testing three null hypotheses concerning age, teaching experience, and attitude score categories. Results indicate no significant differences in teacher attitudes based on age or experience, while a significant variation was found across attitude score categories. The findings highlight that while age and experience do not affect pre-primary teachers’ attitudes, their attitude scores significantly reflect different levels of positivity towards the profession.
