Abstract

Women investors have been gaining attention due to their changing investment behaviour over the years. There has been a positive shift in the perception towards investment-related matters in addition to a more active engagement. Investment cognizance among the women populace has been increasing, which could be linked to the sources of information they rely on for obtaining required information. The study focuses on the sources of investment information women investors rely on for making their investment decisions. For this purpose, 100 working women, who are the faculties in higher education, in Delhi were surveyed via questionnaire method. The same was assessed on the basis of their educational qualification and descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used to do the analysis. The results revealed that there was a preponderance of women investors who are reliant on their family, friends or colleagues for gathering investment information while the least of the women investors have indicated their reliance on print media.
