Abstract

As governments and businesses have realized the importance of sustainability in financial reporting, the concept of "Green Accounting" has gained popularity in recent years. In addition to standard financial indicators, green accounting—also known as environmental accounting or sustainable accounting—incorporates social and environmental factors into decision-making processes. The foundations of green accounting are examined in this article, along with its benefits, limitations, and potential applications in the future of sustainable financial reporting.
