In this present paper an attempt has been made to study the growth of stature among Nath boys of Kamrup District, Assam. This paper is based on intensive field work in the Nath inhabited villages named- Changsari, Dalang and Maniari of Kamrup District. It consists of the measurement of 430 Nath boys. This study is a cross-sectional and the measurements were taken as prescribed by the Martin. For this study boys of 8 years to 18 years were measured. This paper also examines the adolescent growth spurt and percentage of growth per annum among them. An attempt has been made to calculate the growth gradient to find out the level of maturity at a particular age of the subjects. The present data have been compared with Indian rural boys (ICMR1989) and National Centre for Health Statistics (NCHS) reference data.
