Abstract

Internet use is spreading rapidly into daily life and directly affecting people’s ideas and behavior. Social media are internet-based and mobile-based online communications that help people to connect and search for information. In present paper, an attempt is made to investigate the attitude towards Internet and social media of Senior Secondary school students. Descriptive survey research method is applied for study. A Self-Made Scale, Internet and Social Media Attitude Scale is used as research tools for data collection. In present study, 400 students are taken from co-ed Senior Secondary schools of different regions of Kanpur as sample. By focusing on developing a positive attitude towards usage of internet and social media in student’s level of learning can be enhanced. A comparative study is carried out between the attitude towards Internet and social media of Senior secondary students. Student’s attitude towards Internet and social media is also analyzed on the basis of gender comparison.
