Abstract

The study of Phenology is a valuable source of information for the onset and duration of growing seasons in various climatic regions. Information about the phenological pattern is important to understand the life cycle of plant species and other organisms associated with them. Phenological data is useful for crop management activity in agriculture; it is also useful for assessment of biodiversity and natural resource management. Education in school and public awareness related with the importance of phenological study will bring people closer to nature. The present investigation provides the information regarding the phenological events of family Mimosaceae found in Washim district of Maharashtra, India.
