Abstract

The Indian Constitution provides all citizens with social and economic justice, equal status and opportunities, and the protection of individual dignity, among other things. The Indian constitution has various provisions to protect and promote the cultural, social, educational, and economic interests of Schedule castes and tribes, bringing them into the national mainstream. This paper discusses the socio-economic status of the Kotia tribe in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. This study found that 96% of the households depend on the agriculture field, 70% are illiterate, 58% belong to the Rs. 10000–15000 income level, 64% stay with the nuclear family, and 62% stay in the toiled house. We have used both primary and secondary data. This study employed a descriptive-exploratory design. The researcher selected purposive random sampling. We analyzed the data using the statistical package for the social Sciences (SPSS) for tabulation and data interpretation. The researcher has selected the frequency distribution.
