The present study was carried out on Lohargarh Kunda (Open pond) of Lohargarh, district- Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. It is 70 km away from Jhunjhunu and it’s a part of Arawali range. The Physico-chemical parameters and zooplanktonic diversity of this pond were sampled from Feb2022 to Jan. 2023. During this present study period, a total number of 50 species of zooplankton were recorded, out of which Protozoa was represented by 17 species, Rotifer by 10 species, Annelida by 1 species and different classes and subclasses of Arthropoda was identified like Insect by 6 species, Branchiopoda by 4 species, Ostracoda by 3 species, Cladocera by 2 species, Copepoda by 6 species and 1 Crustacean larval species. Zooplanktonic community when correlated with its Physico-chemical parameters indicated that the density and distribution of zooplanktonic species was influenced by its physical and chemical factor of the pond environment.
