Abstract

Healthy mother and healthy child is the milestone for any society. Ensure healthy life and promote wellbeing is the 3rd goal of SDGs. This study describe the utilization of Antenatal care (ANC) in rural Haryana. To analyze the results descriptive statistics, charts and tabulation has been used. National Family Health Survey-5 has been used as data source. Study found that only 58.1 percent women receive at least four visit, 44.1 percent women consumed folic acid for 100 days and 92 percent women are protected against tetanus according to national family health Survey-5. It is also found that pregnant women who has no son are more likely to have an ultrasound test than compared to have 1 or more son. Background characteristics of pregnant women like age, level of education, region, caste, and religion affect the utilization of Antenatal care (ANC) services.
